EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

 

Kings Rehabilitation Center, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director. This position reports directly to the Board of Directors. The person selected will be responsible for the over all administration and supervision of a multi faceted Adult Rehabilitation facility. Responsibilities include management of a large NISH contract, numerous outside contracts as well as a Day Training and Adult Development Program.

 

A Master’s Degree from an accredited school of higher education in Rehabilitation Administration, Business Administration or a related field. Preference will be given to those with at least three years experience in management of a Human Services Agency involved in care, treatment, education, and training disabled adults. Experience may be considered in lieu of Master’s Degree. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of budgeting procedures as well as personnel and client service functions. Must be able to work effectively with existing management team. Salary negotiable based on experience, with full benefit package.

Government Affairs Director

 

The California Disability Services Association in Sacramento, CA, is seeking a Government Affairs Director to guide the development and implementation of the association’s public policy work.  CDSA’s 100+ members provide support and community services to persons with developmental disabilities, including employment, day programs, supported living, and respite care. 

 

Major duties are position development, research, and lobbying on legislative and regulatory issues; working with contract lobbyists; supporting committee processes; communication of issues, stances, and actions to members; responding to member questions and needs; making presentations and providing training.

Applicants should have any combination of experience equivalent to at least 5 years of work in state government, associations, and disability services and a minimum of 3 years of professional-level evaluative, analytical, planning, and advocacy work related to government and legislative programs.  It is helpful to know California government and legislative processes, California human services programs; the Lanterman Act, and the DDS system. Minimum of (8) yrs full-time employment with (4) years exp in administrative work directing professional, technical or supervisory personnel.

Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor: Foothill Vocational Opportunities, Inc.

 

Foothill Vocational Opportunities, Inc., a non-profit organization since 1965, is recruiting for Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to provide quality vocational rehabilitation services to developmentally disabled adults in an industrial setting.

 

Duties include: Providing case management services, work evaluation and work training; developing individualized vocational plans and writing reports; providing vocational counseling and behavioral modification and intervention.

 

Qualifications: B.S. or M.S. degree in Rehab Counseling or related field, experience in case management and vocational counseling for developmentally disabled adults. Bilingual a plus.

 

Salary: $2700 to $3000 per month
