2011 Legislative Conference
The new, compact, day-and-a-half program will include policy briefings, advocacy training sessions and pre-scheduled legislative visits for all conference participants.
This year’s conference is important to CDSA members, families and consumers. It is critical for our Association to be well represented and present our key public policy positions to our Legislators – especially to educate “freshmen” members. The 2011 conference will focus on how service providers can address new funding realities, and advocate against the Governor’s proposed $750 million in cuts to the DDS budget.
Consumers and family members are encouraged to attend. Separate educational sessions on Tuesday are geared toward new and seasoned family and consumer advocates to prepare them for taking the CDSA message to Legislators during visits on Wednesday.
