What's New this Year for Community Advocates:
The compact, day-and-a-half program will include policy briefings, advocacy training sessions and pre-scheduled legislative visits for all conference participants. The 2012 conference will focus on how service providers can address new funding realities. Persons with developmental disabilities, family members and board members from CDSA member organizations are encouraged to participate in CDSA’s 2012 Legislative Affairs Conference!
All community advocate attendees who register for the conference will gain:
• Valuable training from other advocates – March 6 from 3:00-5:00 pm
• Meals and networking with service providers –breakfast & lunch on March 7
• Meeting with Legislators* -- between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on March 7
• Additional “eyes-only” registration for one support staff (does not include a seat in legislative meetings)

Registration is $130 and open until all Legislative meetings have been filled or until February 22. Register online Now!
*All registered attendees are guaranteed a minimum of one and a maximum of five meetings with Legislators. We will do our best to match attendees with their Legislators; however, due to scheduling limitations, we cannot guarantee which Legislators you will meet with.

Citizen Hotel: 10th & J Street, Sacramento
Room rate: $182/night (available until 2/20)

Valet parking: $25/night
Self-serve parking: $18/night
Airport Shuttle: To help with travel expenses and to encourage more community member involvement, CDSA will provide a shuttle. The shuttle will be available for attendees to/from the airport on Tuesday (3/6) from 10:30 am-12:30 pm and on Wednesday (3/7) from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. Reservations are required for shuttle service; contact Melissa Smith (916) 441-5844 x113 to place your reservation by Feb 22.

The California Disability Services Association is sponsoring a raffle to raise travel funds for service providers to send clients and family members to meet with legislators.
