Colors and Resizing
Due to differences in screen and printer technologies the same art displayed on a computer monitor may not match the colors to that printed in a publication. If your purpose is to display the marks and branded colors on a computer monitor (e.g. slide shows, web pages, power point presentations, emailing flyers, newsletter, email signature) use RGB versions. If you are going to be printing (e.g. flyers, letterhead, posters) use the CMYK versions or PMS versions. When commercially printing utilize only the PMS logo versions to ensure the best color match. The Pantone Color Matching System (PMS) is largely a standardized color reproduction system for printers to refer to ensure colors match regardless of the printer or ink.
The four-color and single-color mark can be used on any solid background that is light or dark enough to provide adequate contrast.
EPS versions of the mark may be enlarged or reduced in size*, but can only be used in the colors in which they are offered (spot colors, 4-color process, RBG screen colors and black). Due to pixilation, the JPEG versions of the mark may not be enlarged, but may be reduced in size. The black JPEG version can be converted to an appropriate spot color when used in software like Photoshop, Quark XPress or PageMaker.
*Marks may be reduced in size to a minimum width of 3/4 inch and/or as long as the entire image and the words are legible. Different versions of the CDSA Proud Member mark have been developed for optimized sizes and must be used accordingly.
