Regional Caucuses
CDSA's Regional Caucuses were established to:
- create an effective statewide grassroots and communication network made up of the entire CDSA membership
- allow more discussion and assessment on key statewide issues to occur on the local level and positions to be determined before meeting as a whole membership at CDSA’s meetings and conferences.
- To allow members to work with colleagues at the local level on an ongoing basis to ensure a stronger local and CDSA legislative platform.
Caucuses are organized geographically:
- Capital: (Alta Regional Center)
- Upstate: (Far Northern and Redwood Coast Regional Centers)
- Central Valley: (Central Valley, Kern and Valley Mountain Regional Centers)
- Los Angeles Basin: (Harbor, Eastern Los Angeles, Frank D. Lanterman, North Los Angeles, South Central Los Angeles and Westside Regional Centers)
- Inland Empire: (Inland and San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Centers)
- Bay Area: (Golden Gate, North Bay, East Bay and San Andreas Regional Centers)
- San Diego: (San Diego Regional Center)
- Orange: (Orange County Regional Center)
- Central Coast: (Tri-Counties Regional Center)
CDSA encourages each caucus to meet monthly to ensure open and productive dialogue on issues pertinent to the respective regions.
