INFORMATION

We keep our members up-to-date about the rapidly changing landscape for IDD service providers with clear analysis on complex legislation and regulatory updates, as well as answers to pressing questions.

Newsletters, Issue Updates, and Alerts

CDSA updates our members on important news regarding IDD services. When members have the opportunity to get involved with pending bills or regulations, we provide the messaging and information they need to take action. We craft policy statements in plain language that members can share with families and local legislators. Our monthly newsletter covers relevant issues on the state and federal level, business and labor concerns, and reports on CDSA and member activity.

Peer-to-Peer Communication

Through our listserv, member committees, local caucus meetings, and events across the state, CDSA offers numerous networking opportunities. Our members are the experts on serving people with IDD and we facilitate important discussions between members by providing multiple forums to ask questions and share experience with colleagues. Members regularly share policies and fundraising tips, discuss ways to work with regional center staff, and explore messaging and public relations.

Conferences and Meetings

Members come together for four major events each year to address the issues that matter to IDD service providers. CDSA provides detailed briefings on important and up-to-date information at every event, but many members find the peer networking opportunities invaluable. Through these meetings, our members engage with CDSA to set our priorities, voice concerns, and solve problems. In addition to our regular gatherings, we also may also host educational sessions or invite members to rally in response to current events. Our events are designed to reflect the interests and needs of our members.
